How do i make my hair stay curly but not frizzy using hair gel (maybe when its wet?)?

i have curly fuzzy hair when it dries. Ive seen other people who put gel in their hair to make it stay curly and i think they put it in when its wet. What hair gel do i use or how do i make it less fuzzy or both? so i don't have to constantly straighten my hair or have it be ugly and frizzy in a ponytail.

iwould suggest using mousse, gel and that garnier fructis weightless anti frizz serum. put the gel, mousse and serum in when your hair is wet, let it dry, then put some more of the antifrizz serum. i have the same problem and that always works.

The best way to keep your hair curly is to use mousse. You can use it when your hair is dry. Just pull out a small section at the time and put mousse on it then use your curling iron and roll it. Roll all of your hair in small sections. Let the mousse completely dry. Separate it with your fingers. It will stay pretty much until you wash your hair again, if you don't comb through it. You can use a small curling iron to get tight ringlets or a large one to get large curls or waves in your hair.

I have your same problem, so this is what I do:

After you get out of the shower, brush your hair straight while it's dripping wet. This way you can put your hair how you want it and get the part right, as well as pull your bangs out of your hair. Blow dry your bangs, then towel dry your hair until it's just damp. Take some mousse or curl-enhancing spray and distribute evenly in your hair, then scrunch it. Let your hair airdry, and take a curling iron and curl some extra pieces near the top of your hair. Spray it with hairspray and your done. You'll have beautiful bouncy curls for the rest of the day!

I had your problem for years! I've finally found the perfect combination though. Wash and condition your hair. Wrap it in a towel for about 3 minutes. That way it's still wet, but it's not dripping. Use the pink sunsilk 24/7 cream it's the moisturizing one (a drop about the size of a penny) focus this on the ends of your hair. Use the green sunsilk 34/7 cream it's the defrizzing curly haired one (a drop about the size of a penny) start at the top of your head and work your way down. Lastly, use herbal essences set me up gel. (again a drop about the size of a penny.

Other helpful hints:

1. Rub the products really well in your hands first, that way the product will distribute evenly

2. Scrunch your hair after you apply each product

3. Once all the products are in, flip your head over and scrunch your hair

4. Style the way you want it

5. Once it's dry, try not to touch it

6. If it's a little frizzy, use a small amount of gel and put it only on the frizzy areas.

7. The amount used on my hair might not work perfectly with your hair, play around a little until you find the perfect amounts

I hope this works for you! It's a little time consuming. It takes me 10-15 minutes, but it's worth it. I finally love my curly hair!

I have your hair type. Here's what I do:

After I shower, I squeeze the excess water out gently. Don't towel dry, it will enhance frizzies. Comb gently with a wide-tooth comb (but don't overcomb, just enough to detangle). Use a dime size drop of Frizz Ease extra strength serum through the ends only (not the roots). If your hair has dried a bit, use a spray bottle to dampen it again. Use an appropriate amount of gel for your hair length and distribute evenly through hair. I like Biolage Gelee and Garnier Hard Curl. If you want soft curls, use a lower strength gel. If you want defined, "crunchy" curls, Hard Curl does the trick.

Now, don't touch!!!!! Let your hair air dry and try not to touch or move it as much as possible.

Personally, I have not had good luck with mousse because it doesn't define my curls as much as I'd like. That's why I use gel. For me, it's best to use it while my hair is wet or damp, never dry. Also, if you have to skip a shampoo the next day, you can use the spray bottle to wet your hair and re-activate the gel. That way you'll only have to use a teeny bit on the ends to help re-define them. Hope that helps!
