i've been using hair gel for a long time and then i used hair wax on my hair for the 1st time coz they said its better than gel...

then after washing my hair before bedtime...the wax won't come off...

i tried using stuffs/instructions what the ppl suggested such as:

1. wash hair with dishwashing liquid soap,then put conditioner on it..it will come off..

results:didnt come off.

2.wash ur hair with shampoo for several times and it will come off.results:still didn't come off..

and i thinked if i do this altogether it would remove the wax...

i did and still didnt come off..

then after that,i used gel on my hair then washed it then dried my hair with a towel..

results:it's coming off,wax was coming off..

so this would be my method..but will it damage ur hair?after putting alot of stuffs on it?

you used wayyyyy too much... that stuff makes your hair reeeeallllly greasy. i like a combination of wax and palmaide....you arent talking about the kind of wax used to remove hair...if so you're screwed

hair wax is extremely better than gels because it looks and feels completely natural. I think one doesn't need to remove the wax. as you always like to look good.

me myself i tried vo5 hair wax, it's great, it stays about 5 days on my hair even if i wash it during these days, when i feel the need to renew it i put a new little piece and so on.

You have used too much

You just need a little wax at the ends of the hair

If your hair is short it works best soiking it up

Try putting powder on it to absorb the grease and then wash it

what kind are you using? i use LA Looks Wax Stick, it only cost like $3, I apply it all over my hair after flatironing, and it washes out in the shower with a shampoo. i read alot of people having trouble getting the wax out, but i dont get at all what the problem is. I have thick hair too.

I agree, you are using way too much. You're not supposed to saturate your hair with wax like people do with gel. You're only supposed to use a very small amount and rub it in. Just keep washing it and eventually it will all come out.

Try using soap and very hot water as hot as you can stand it on your head it will still be hard to get out but with many many shampoo's it will.

Wash your hair twice, than leave conditioniar in for a day. This should work.. if not try asking an hairdresser

There are particular shampoos to remove build up which is what you have. they are called clarifying shampoos. Also what i do is i put a tablespoon of baking soda in with my shampoo and shampoo my hair twice, this should also remove the wax, or build up. If you like using the wax , either invest in a salon quality clarifying shampoo, or try my method. if my method works wash your hair once a week with the baking soda added to your shampoo.

just wash ur hair with hot water and a good shampoo. and also get a good hair condtior and let it set in ur hair for some time then wash it good!

Wax can be extremely hard to take off.. Paul Mitchel has a good hair wax that is more water soluble.

Not all hair is compatible with hair wax.. sometimes gel is better.

If you are looking for a greasy look, then that may work for you..

If your looking for separation of hair, then a nice hair paste called AG (you can buy it on line) may work for you.

Put some on your palm. rub your hands together to warm the product. Then use your finger tips to apply the product

In order for crappy products to come out of the hair you have to wash, wash, wash, then wash some more

Try using shampoo and conditioner from the same brand as the hair wax.

get some Armor Hammer baking soda. the one in the yellow box in the back of the refridgerator, ya that one. mix it in the palm of your hand with ur shamp. then wast it. it should feel grainy. wash 2-3 times and rinse good!
