I do pretty much put hair gel on every day of the week. Is hair gel really bad for your hair... I've heard things like my hair will fall out fast when I'm older. Are stuff like this really true. And what are some better choices to replace hair gel and would still keep my hair up as well as give it that shiny look?

No, it's not bad for you. Just make sure that you are shampooing it out thoroughly every day. Use a conditioner as well, this is a step a lot of guys forget. Using hair gel has absolutely no affect on hair loss, so don't worry about that. For good measure, you can also use a clarifying shampoo once a week to remove any buildup caused by the gel.
