I like the wax much better. I use it all the time and it doesn't hurt my hair. The gel may dry it out though.

both are fine for your hair, if you are using the right brands.

wax, can stay in your hair for multiple days, but it will leave a greasy mess behind on pillows and such. and with wax you can dishevel your hair a bit at anytime.

where as gel get all hardened and can crack or flake if its been touched to much or layed on.

i think it really depends on what type of hair you have.wax really don't work to well with Afro hair.it causes a lot of build-up and attracts dirt while gel seems to be OK .on the other hand wax seams to work well in Caucasian hair while gel makes it greasy.the choice is yours.good luck
