Try Aveda's flax seed aloe gel. Aveda products are all natural and won't dry it out excessively. You could also try Pureology which is also all natural and doesn't have alcohol in it, which is the main cause of dryness!

I like "Pro Style" it comes in a black tub with a white lid. it is for "Black"Hair (oh don"t go all PC on me I'm not trying to be controversial") It is a dark brown hair gel, it holds great, and you don't get all those little fly away thingys sticking out. I'm white with brown hair,But I often wear a "Phony pony" and slick back my hair, it holds all day. You can get it a t "Sallys" beauty supply.
