my hair really sucks. its very thick, and its in between curly and wavy. and its also very coarse. when its really short, i have no problem with it, but when it gets a little long, its almost impossible to manage. anyting i put in it, usually weighs it down as its already thick. i've tried sexy hair gel and wax, and other types of wax but nothing seems to work. does anyone have any tips? not just glue, wax or gel, but can thinning my hair also work out? i keep it short, no longer than a few inches. any help is appreciated. thanks!

You could be putting too much gel in your hair. Try a mouse, or if you just want that "wet hair" look, you could use a pomade. If you're trying to hold your hair up in a certain position, try hairspray.
