I need to make a model of an animal cell. I have heard of models that use clear hair gel. Any ideas?

I thought about using a clear christmas ornament, (the kind that you can take apart and put something inside) but I don't know if I could put hair gel inside without it leaking. Also, I don't know what to make the other cell parts out of that would be small enough to fit inside the ornament. Any ideas? I want to use the ornament so that I can hang it from an ornament hanger for displaying. I don't want to use food items because I want it to last a long time. All answers welcome.

clear burn aloe gel works well, and isn't as sticky for the cytoplasm. I used a clearish bouncy ball with a color in the middle for the nucleus and nucleolus. um, i used yarn for the rough endoplasmic reticulum. those are just some pf the parts

clay for the outer pu all the stuff with clay nucleus styrofoam ball and for the gell crap use seram rap

(the clear stuff used for putting stuff in the microwave)
