Can we put hair gel on straightened hair?

Well I have slightly curly/wavy hair, which I sometimes straighten using an iron. So can we put gel on the ironed hair? Or will it go back to wavy if I use any gel?

Gel will still dampen your hair, so I wouldn't risk it. I'd use a rock hard hairspray instead.

I don't think so, as the gel should hold it in place, and isn't really watery or liquidy. However if the gel is too watery, your hair may start to go back to its original state.

You can but use it sporadically. It's better to use an oil based moisturizer... just not very much because if you use too much (and very little is too much) it will start to try and go wavy again... I have naturally CURLY CURLY hair.. it sucks. it takes me two hours to straighten and I cut it to my shoulders and it STILL takes two hours. I use a light oil moistuirizer on my tough hairs that dont like to stay straight and my ends... and it works well! and smells nice!

Gel will make your hair go frizzy! (It is the Alcohol and large quantity of water that will do this to your hair)

Its not good for use after straightening your hair.

Try a smoothing cream instead.

Well,I sometimes iron my hair,too,and whenever I use gel,it slightly gets back to it's original state.

That's why I'm getting it permed straight this Sunday so I could use gel. Why not do that?

I wouldn't suggest using gel at all.. Again, it depends on your hairstyle.. What do you want to style it into? After knowing your style, then it's better to choose the product of style
