Well I have slightly curly/wavy hair, which I sometimes straighten using an iron. So can we put gel on the ironed hair? Or will it go back to wavy if I use any gel?

Gel will still dampen your hair, so I wouldn't risk it. I'd use a rock hard hairspray instead.

You can but use it sporadically. It's better to use an oil based moisturizer... just not very much because if you use too much (and very little is too much) it will start to try and go wavy again... I have naturally CURLY CURLY hair.. it sucks. it takes me two hours to straighten and I cut it to my shoulders and it STILL takes two hours. I use a light oil moistuirizer on my tough hairs that dont like to stay straight and my ends... and it works well! and smells nice!

I wouldn't suggest using gel at all.. Again, it depends on your hairstyle.. What do you want to style it into? After knowing your style, then it's better to choose the product of style

Right now, i'm usin some hairgel thats supposed to keep my hair in one place for the whole day. Well, it does that for msot of the day. But, here are the cons. It makes my hair really crunchy, and super shiny. Is there anything (not too expensive) out there that I can use to keep my hair in one place the whole day, no shine or crunchiness, and possibly so that it looks well, basically u know how u wake up with bed hed, and no matter what u do, it won't go down/away, that type. So, i could run my fingers through it, and it would stay up. And it doesn't necessarily have to be gel. I read somewhere that theres paste and what not. SO anything pretty much. Thnx

Yeah, try hair clay, or molding putty instead of gel. It has a decent hold, but you can remold it anytime you want, since it doesn't dry up like gel.

i have the perfect product for you, use loreal's out of bed fibre putty, its amazing, its not shiny or greasy and has a decent hold (sometimes a little hairpray helps, but not always nessacary) ots amazing, if you blowdry it in, then a apply a little more when its dry, it will last for quite a while

I use the American Crew Pomade, specifically the "Tea Tree" Pomade.... Its a little on the pricey side (bout $15 for 3.5 oz) but well worth it. You wont get any crunch or shine and your hair will stay all day long.... and your girl wont get a handful of nasty if she runs her fingers through your hair

PS- They make a variety of pomades of differing viscosity so, whatever your hair type, they'll have something that provides just the amount of hold you're looking for....

Wax does this for me, I'm not a guy but I have short hair in the back that I spike out and it keeps it there better than wax. What I do is use super spiker glue *which keeps hair in place* and then I spray it with texturizer. It gives it that extra hold but doesn't make it feel so rough.

i used tons of stuff but none ever worked without either drying out or getting flaky. does aloe vera hair gel work to make my hair look wet/moisturised? i wanna wear my hair out sometimes but its so dry all i can do is tie it back.

i was subconsciouly watching tv one day and this hair gel commercial came on: there were two asian kids, a boy and a girl and they were in uniforms in a school walking in lines. everybody looked alike and then they used the gel and everybody looked different because they styled their hair with it or something and then the boy and girl ran from the school hand in hand. weird i know haha but i was wondering what brand of hair gel that is?

I could tell he put his hair gel in my tea. I came out of the bedroom to relax after asking him to leave. (I was dissapointed in the fact that he had an attitude when I tried to cheer him up by shooting nerf balls his way. I accidently hit him in the head, but I was only trying to play and cheer him up. )

He breaks my heart with his behavior, and his immaturity seems to be more obvious as the weeks go on. I can't stand his attitude, but he also has many positive traits and that alone is hard to leave. Yes, that is very immature! There are some people that can't control their anger and something like that is just unacceptable. He will most likely apologize for it later and explain by saying that he was not thinking about the consequences as he was doing it. There is nothing much you can really do. All you can do is put your effort into helping understand that he needs to think of consequences before his actions.....soooo grade school but, helping each other grow is apart of being in a relationship. Ok well to me it is obvious that your guy is a little clingy. He doesn't want to you to break-up. He might be getting a bad vibe from you since he suspects you want to break up with him. By 'head bath' I guess you mean Shampooing?

To keep your hair straight and not get curly, apply a hair-wax after you shampooed it.

But your hair will grow out curly no matter what product you use to straighten it.

A few of my friends have started using conditioner to fix their hair instead of hair gel. They claim it works just as good, and is healthier for your hair than gel, not to mention cheaper.

Is it really safe to leave conditioner on your head for hours and hours even after it dries up? And is it really healthier ?
