Please recommend a hair gel! (for my specific situation)?

I have shortish very fine wavy hair. I wash and wear my hair back off my forehead but the gels and mousses so far leave it REALLY DULL. I mean it goes from blond/ash/blond to really really dull dark!! YUCK. I tried a bit of hairspray and that was okay but it is so sticky. My hair basically is cut in a simple wash-n-wear, unstructured wavy bob. What can I use? A little dab after shampooing, push back and go? Please tell me of a product YOU USE that is not dulling and not super sticky! HELP!!! When I use nothing my hair is shiny and pretty but gets in my face and does a bit of fly away too. I NEED THIS FOR WORK PLEASE to get the hair out of my face but not looking like crap. Please name product specifically so I can go buy it. :-)

i was in a wedding And the hairstylest put AEROSTYLE hair mousse in my hair it really will stay and its not sticky at all.

I think shockwave would be great i use shock i got short black hair it makes me look cool by putting shockwave gel on

Hi, recently I had heard that hair gels is a irratant to acne... especially along the hairline. Unfortunatelly, I can't choose what is more important... my hair.. or my face... so I was wondering if anyone knew of any hair gels that don't have oil in them that will make the acne worse.

I have been using hair gel for like 3 years! and i have NO acne at all. I don't think you can get acne from hair gel, unless you are using it on your face, maybe you should try a salon.

Buy oils and shampoos for oily hair...it will have less oils in them

good question. i don't know of any hair gels that don't have any oil, but keep looking maybe you'll find something.

Don't know about hair jel creating an acne problem. I have oily skin. I have a habbit of rubbing my forhead with my had and the dirty and oil causes problems. For your hair, start using moose. It'll work just as good I'm sure.

i try to spike my hair but it only stays wet spikish for 5 mins max. and then it dries up and looses the spikeyness. I have a wet look pomade, and super hold for spiking(alberto gels). Other ppl with gelled hair look normal for the rest of the day.

gel your hair when it's wet and use one of those huge vats of hair gel you get at the 99 cent store lol, they really work!

get paul mitchells brand LAB glue. it stays very well. or got2b glued its in a yellow tube. its awesome and cheaper than LAB

Try spraying your hair with some max hold hairspray after you put gel on it and spike it. Then use your hairdryer on low for a few secs and see if that works. The heat will help set it.

I get pimples whenever I start applying oil or any gel on my hairs.Because of this , all these years I avoided applying anything on my hairs.But the problem is that , I dont like my hairs without oil/gel coz they look very dull. Applying a gel helps it but I get pimples then. Is there any product availabe in the market which is oil free and hold the hairs too.

Hey,im not sure about the product situation but you can still use the product that your using right know but at night just wash your face. Or try to get an all natrul product to use.

I need to make a model of an animal cell. I have heard of models that use clear hair gel. Any ideas?

I thought about using a clear christmas ornament, (the kind that you can take apart and put something inside) but I don't know if I could put hair gel inside without it leaking. Also, I don't know what to make the other cell parts out of that would be small enough to fit inside the ornament. Any ideas? I want to use the ornament so that I can hang it from an ornament hanger for displaying. I don't want to use food items because I want it to last a long time. All answers welcome.

clear burn aloe gel works well, and isn't as sticky for the cytoplasm. I used a clearish bouncy ball with a color in the middle for the nucleus and nucleolus. um, i used yarn for the rough endoplasmic reticulum. those are just some pf the parts

I know exactly what that is, I use the brown protein stuff and they are usually right next to each other because they are the same thing except for the fact that one is clear for light colored hair...you should be able to get it where ever ethnic hair care products are sold.

I'm telling you every store does not sell that stuff you may find LA Looks but you will not find Clear Ice...
