Are we allowed to bring hair gel into airlplanes?

I heard they eased some of their restrictions for carry on items. Is hair gel allowed on planes now?

Are we allowed to bring hair gel into airlplanes?

Yes, you are now allowed to bring *3* (THREE) ounces or under in a 3 ounce or less travel container. A half empty 6oz bottle does not fit this and will be trashed at the airport. You are allowed one ziplock quart sized bag (NOT GALLON) comfortably packed with your 3oz (or less) containers of liquid or gel. You will need to remove this bag for inspection by security. If you are unsure about ANYTHING, check the tsa website or pack it.

Prescription and non-prescription medications 3oz and under are allowed to free float anywhere. So a container of eye drop, contact lens solution, or an asthma inhaler does not need to be separated. However, if it's over 3 oz, it needs to be packed in a ziplock bag and declared at security.

Yes, in small amounts.

The restrictions are listed here

No, you will have to carry it in your checked luggage.

Are we allowed to bring hair gel into airlplanes?

No, hairgel is restricted from carry-on. You can still bring it on the plane in your checked luggage... or just pick up a new bottle at the store whenever you get to your destination.

I actually looked into this because I'm traveling on Thursday...

You can bring them in your carry on, but in small bottles - like 4oz. They have to be in a zip locked bag that is of specific size. (Sorry...don't remember...go to the TSA website for the exact details.) You are also only allowed ONE bag per passenger.

You can bring bottles of any size in your checked bags as well.

4 ounces or less in the original container

Only if you rub it all in to your hair. Not necessarily on your head.

Who knows what the stupid rules are at this point. How many "evil doers" has this BS caught, anyway? None, or they would post the results in bright bold letters.

I guess we will get to the point where people won't be allowed to fly at all. This is overkill of the worst sort. We don't go through all this crap for the thousands and thousands of people killed in traffic. Why are we spending so much time and money protecting an aircraft with a few hundred people?

Is there anyone flying in the US today who would NOT get up and cream anybody who tried to mess with an aircraft now? This security stuff is SOO pointless. How many more liberties do we have to give up before we realize we are no longer a free society, just a bunch of obese, scardy-cats hiding in our homes watching "youtube".

But, Zip-Lok is happy, now that a baggie has been mandated. At least somebody is getting rich off of this BS.

They have eased some of the restrictions on what you can bring on the aircraft, although you have are only allowed to bring a small amount and they must be packed in a clear plastic bag no larger then 1 qt. Your best bet is to go to http://www.tsa.gov/ as they have a complete list of what you can and can not bring on the aircraft and exactly how you need to pack it.
