Can you bring hair gel on an airplane?

My boyfriend is flying from California to Texas on Tuesday to see his sister graduate high school. He has a mowhawk and wants to spike it up for her graduation. He wanted me to find out if you can bring hair gel on a plane. I know it's a dumb question, but can you?

Can you bring hair gel on an airplane?

Yes, in your checked luggage and yes in carry on as long as it is 3 oz or less and in a clear ziplock type bag.

Can you bring hair gel on an airplane?

yeah but put it in a zip lock bag.

Can you bring hair gel on an airplane?

Well yes but you must put in in the bag that you check on the plane. If you put in on your carry on bag they will take it away.

New rules for airlines state that you can only bring up to 3 ounces of liquids on the plane in your carry-on luggage in a zip-top bag. That includes gels, lip gloss, shampoos, toothpaste, drinks, etc. Anything more than 3 ounces has to be in checked luggage. I think the only exception to that rule applies to diabetics and handicapped. Your question is not dumb, but the new rules are.

So if he has any luggage that is going to be checked, then he can bring his hair gel. Otherwise, if he is only taking a carry-on, then I suggest that he leaves his gel at home and purchases some at a drugstore when he gets to his destination. Now, I don't know about other airlines, but when I went to New York last November via JetBlue airlines (out of Ontario Airport), they thoroughly checked everyone's carry-ons and wouldn't let passengers carry these types of items on board.

I don't think it is permitted to bring a mohawk on an airplane.
