I know that diluted elmers glue works as a hair gel. I also have heard that mixing flour and water makes a glue. If i put a les pasty version of this on my hair, would it work as hair gel?

I wouldn't suggest using flour and water as hair gel. It would just be like the stuff you put on newspaper strips to put together a pinata, and it when it dried it would look flaky and white.

When I use that for paper mache, after it dries, sometimes you get white flakes that come off. It would not look good if you have dark hair lol.
