Best Hair Gel or Wax for spiking your bangs out straight?

I have short bangs and want to try and style them outward as straight as possible. The gels I've tried never seems to hold my bangs up and they just fall down right away. Does anyone have a gel, wax, or other hair product they know holds bangs up without that wet greasy residue or white flaking. Along with the product, how do you apply it to your hair to get the results you want? I'll appreciate any advice you have to offer.

Redken rewind is awesome. it's more of a paste, and it leaves no white residue and doesn't look greasy. just put a small dab of it in your hand and work it through your hair, and style as you want it. it's really easy stuff to use, and no too expensive. then just put a little hair spray on it to make it hold.
